senior Morgan Frame earned her first America East women's basketball Player of
the Week honor of the season, while Albany freshman Shereesha Richards notched
her fifth Rookie of the Week honor for the week ending Jan. 13, the conference
office announced Monday.
Frame (Waterville, Maine)
recorded her second double-double of the season with a team-high 20 points on 8-of-11
shooting, and game-high 12 rebounds to lift New Hampshire to its first America
East conference win of the season, 63-62 vs. UMBC. Frame scored five of the
team's initial 11 points as the Wildcats built its largest lead of the first
half - five points - at 11-6. She entered halftime with 13 points (5-8 FGs; 3-4
FTs). In the second half, Frame scored one point and pulled down five rebounds
during UNH's 10-2 run spanning nearly eight minutes that transformed a 52-47 deficit
into a 57-54 lead the Wildcats would not relinquish. In 18 second-half minutes,
Frame recorded seven points (3-3 FGs, 1-2 FTs), seven rebounds and two assists.
Richards (Oceanview, N.J.) earned her fifth Rookie of the
Week honor, helping lead Albany to a 71-39 win over Maine in the team's
first game at SEFCU Arena since Nov. 28. The freshman forward recorded 10
points, and was just short of a double-double with nine rebounds. Richards shot
50.0 percent (5-10) from the field, while also recording five steals and one
assist in 24 minutes off the bench.

Albany hosts New Hampshire on Wednesday at noon in the first ESPN3
