CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Two goaltenders who stole the show at the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Windjammer Classic over the weekend have split the latest America East men's soccer Player of the Week award. University of New Hampshire's Travis Worra and University of Vermont's Conor Leland each recorded a pair of shutouts as the two teams each went 1-0-1 and shared the tournament title.

University of Hartford's Javoni Simms scored twice in as many games to receive Rookie of the Week accolades. The winners for the week ending Sept. 9 were announced Monday afternoon.

Worra (Lancaster, Pa.) didn't allow a goal in 190 minutes of action to earn Co-Player of the Week recognition. The sophomore, who was named to the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Windjammer Classic all-tournament team, made six saves in his team's scoreless tie against Niagara on Friday, then stopped four shots in a 2-0 win over Central Connecticut State on Sunday. An America East All-Rookie choice a year ago, Worra leads the conference in goals-against average (0.22), save percentage (.957) and shutouts (3).

Leland (Richmond, Vt.) was named MVP of the Classic as he also help the opposition scoreless over 190 minutes. The junior goalkeeper stopped six shots in a 2-0 win over Central Connecticut on Friday and followed up with three saves in a scoreless tie with Niagara on Sunday. Leland has allowed just one goal in 190 minutes of action this season and ranks second to Worra in GAA (0.31), save percentage (.933) and shutouts (2).

Simms (Kingston, Jamaica) scored twice last week to help Hartford go 1-1 on the week and picked up Rookie of the Week honors for the first time in his brief career. The freshman midfielder scored the Hawks' lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Villanova on Friday. He then tallied the game winner on Sunday, scoring off a corner kick in the 83rd minute of a 2-1 win at Penn. Simms leads Hartford with four goals on the season and is second among league leaders win both points (8) and goals (4).
