INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Stony Brook University baseball has been seeded fourth in the Coral Gables NCAA Regional as announced on Monday's NCAA Selection Show on ESPNU. The Seawolves will face No. 1 Miami on Friday at 7 p.m., while Missouri State and Central Florida will also compete in the four-team, double-elimination regional.

The Seawolves captured the 2012 America East Championship on Friday with a 13-6 win over Maine, the program's fourth conference championship and automatic berth to the DI NCAA Tournament. Stony Brook has a school-record 46-11 record and its .807 winning percentage is tops in all of Division I.

America East has had consistent success in the NCAA Regionals in recent years. The America East representative has won a game in the tournament in each of the last three years, with Binghamton starting the trend in 2009. Stony Brook eliminated NC State in 2010, and Maine knocked off Florida International last season.

Miami (36-21) is making its 40th straight NCAA Championship appearance, extending its own record. The Hurricanes advanced to the ACC Championship title game before falling to George Tech by an 8-5 score.

Missouri State (39-20), the three seed, and UCF (43-15), the second seed, will face off in the other game in Coral Gables on Friday at Miami's Alex Rodriguez Park.

Each of the 16 regionals features four teams, playing a double-elimination format. The regionals are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, June 1, to Monday, June 4 (if necessary).
