CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Boston U. freshman attacker Mallory Collins (Boston, Mass./Thayer Academy/Loomis Chaffee) came up big in the clutch on Saturday to help the Boston U. women's lacrosse team capture the top seed for the America East Championship and clinch a share of the Regular Season Title. Collins picks up her fifth Rookie of the Week honor for the performance.

Meanwhile, a pair of Retrievers earn awards for their part in UMBC's conference win which further separated the team from the middle of the pack in the standings for sole possession of third place. Senior attacker Emily Coady (Westminster, Md./Westminster) receives Player of the Week recognition and freshman goalkeeper Anna Barnett (Midland, Tex./Midland) takes home the Defensive Player of the Week award.

Coady had a career day with a nine-point effort in UMBC's conference win over Vermont on Saturday. The senior notched six goals, three assists and a caused turnover, scoring a natural hat trick late in the first half to pull the Retrievers even at 6-all with 4:44 until halftime. She scored three more times in the second half where the Retrievers pulled away for the 19-11 victory.

Coady hit the 20-goal mark for the fourth straight season and is two shy of 100. She had 29 points for third on the team in 2012.

Barnett made nine saves in UMBC's 19-11 win over Vermont on Saturday, improving to 3-2 on the season in goal for the Retrievers. After coming into the game for the final 45:04 of the game against the nation's eighth-ranked offense, Barnett allowed just five goals to register a 6.67 goals-against average and a .643 save percentage.

The freshman goalkeeper has a 8.28 GAA and .511 save percentage for the season in 11 games.

Collins played an instrumental role in Boston U.'s win over #19 Stony Brook to capture at least a share of the regular-season title and the top seed for the America East Championship. She finished with five goals, an assist and two ground balls in two games against ranked opponents last week.

Against the Seawolves, Collins assisted on the game-tying goal and scored the game-winning goal unassisted, both in the final 5:00 of the game. She tallied a hat trick earlier in the week against #20 Boston College.
