Positioning for America East Championship seeds will be on the line when Hartford takes on Maine at Chase Family Arena, site of the 2012 tournament, on Wednesday. The two teams are separated by just one game in the conference standings with Hartford (6-19, 6-7 AE) currently in fifth place and Maine (11-13, 5-8 AE) sitting a six-place tie with New Hampshire. The Hawks, who have won two in a row, held the Black Bears to a season-low 49 points in their first meeting, a 63-49 win on Jan. 19. Maine will try to stop a three-game losing streak.
America East is
in its first year of a five-year contract with ESPN that will feature
conference games exclusively on ESPN3, ESPN’s multi-screen network
available through an affiliated internet or video provider online via
WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and

Three other games take place on Wednesday with Albany hosting Vermont, UMBC visiting Binghamton and Boston U. entertaining UNH.
Albany (16-12, 8-6 AE) can clinch the No. 4 seed for the conference tournament with a win over Vermont (17-10, 11-2 AE). Vermont has won eight in a row and 11 of their last 12. UVM, which would earn the No. 1 seed for the league championship with wins in its final three league games, took the first meeting, 73-69, on Jan. 19 and has won five straight in the series
Boston U. (14-13, 10-3 AE) can keep its regular-season title hopes alive with a win over UNH (10-14, 5-8 AE). The Terriers, who are guaranteed no worse than a third-place finish, have strung together three straight wins and have won 17 straight against UNH in Boston. The Wildcats have won three of their last four and are seeking their first three-game win streak since November 13-20 of 2010.
