Four America East men's basketball teams hit the court on Saturday, highlighted by Vermont visiting Quinnipiac in a game that will be televised throughout New England on NESN.
Vermont (4-3) will look to bounce back from consecutive losses, its first since last December, when it takes on the Bobcats at 4 p.m. on NESN. The Cats are 3-2 on the road this season and hold the nation’s 16th best win percentage in road contests (.649) since the start of the 2010-11 season.
Also Saturday, Binghamton and New Hampshire are both in action at 1 p.m. with the Bearcats visiting Bryant and the Wildcats hosting Yale. Albany will look to extend its win streak to five when it travels to Colgate for a 2 p.m. contest.
Binghamton (2-7) will look to snap a two-game losing skid behind freshman Jordan Reed, who's one of just 23 players in the country to average a double-double. He leads America East in both scoring (18.7 ppg) and rebounding (10.3 rpg).
UNH (3-5) shot a season-best 57 percent but fell, 87-84, to Central Conn. State Thursday. The Wildcats are one of just two America East team with four players in double figures.
Albany (7-2) is off to its best start in its Division I history. Mike Black and Jacob Iati had 21 and 20 points, respectively. The teammates are America East’s top-scoring duo averaging 32.6 ppg. Black ranks third (17.3 ppg) and Iati is fifth (15.3 ppg).
