CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The UMBC women's basketball team hosts three-time defending MEAC champions Hampton on Friday night in the lone America East game. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Retrievers are looking to snap a three-game losing skid, dropping three-straight on the road including last time out at VCU. UMBC has been hit by the injury bug, playing without starters Lauren Chase and Kristin Coles last time out.
In the only game on Thursday night, Hartford fell on the road, 67-45, to Vanderbilt. The Commodores were picked fourth in the SEC, and used a 13-0 run in the first half time take a 17-8 lead and never looked back.
