Albany improved on its best ever Division I start on Wednesday and three more men's basketball teams hit the court on Thursday.
The Great Danes (7-2) shot a season-best 53.5 from the field en route to a 77-73 win over St. Francis Brooklyn, their fourth in a row and sixth in seven games. Mike Black scored 21 points while Jacob Iati had 20 as Albany improved to 7-2 for the first time in its Division I history.
Also Wednesday, Hartford (4-4) had its three-game win streak snapped at Arizona State, 71-63, Towson beat Vermont (4-3), 68-64, and UNH was edged by Central Connecticut, 87-84.
On Thursday, UMBC (2-6) hosts American, Boston U. (2-5) goes for its third straight win at Coastal Carolina and Maine (2-5) hosts Fisher. All three games begin at 7 p.m.
