CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - America East women's basketball teams posted a 3-3 record on Wednesday night, including victories by Albany, Boston University and New Hampshire.
The Great Danes (6-2) won their fourth-straight contest, going on the road to beat La Salle, 75-36. Freshman Shereesha Richards scored a career-high 17 points, while Ebone Henry had a game-high 18 and Meagan Craig had 17 on 7-of-9 shooting. The Great Danes shot 58.8% from the floor for the game, their second-highest shooting percentage of the season.
The Terriers (6-3) won their third-straight game, coasting to a 73-50 win over in-state rival Massachusetts. Chantell Alford and Rashidat Agboola combined for 37 points to lead Boston U. Agboola registered her second-straight double-double with a season-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. The Terriers shot a season-best 48.3 percent from the floor.
Kaylee Kilpatrick scored 16 points in 18 minutes to help New Hampshire (4-4) to a 54-38 win over Dartmouth. After holding a 26-25 lead at halftime and a 33-30 lead six minutes into the second half, UNH went on a 22-4 over a minute span to open a 20-point lead. New Hampshire committed a season-low 10 turnovers.
Thursday night sees Hartford (6-1) looking for its best start since 1977-78 in a tough road matchup with the SEC's Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. The Hawks are the highest scoring team in the America East at 64.9 points per game.
