CAMBRIDGE, Mass - Two teams close out play at tournaments on Sunday, while UMBC takes on Ivy League favorite Princeton in America East women's basketball action.
Three America East teams won on Saturday, including two teams knocking off squads from the BIG EAST. Boston University notched a huge victory over No. 17/15 St. John's, becoming the first America East team to beat a ranked team in non-conference play since Hartford beat No. 19/23 Louisiville in 2009. Hartford also rolled past Providence on Saturday, while Albany topped local rival Siena to win the 2012 Capital Cup.
New Hampshire (3-3) looks to bounce-back from back-to-back losses with a win over host Brown in the Brown Classic on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. The Wildcats had a furious comeback against the Bobcats on Saturday, cutting a 14-point deficit to one but could not earn the win.
Binghamton finishes play at the Arizona State Classic against UNLV in search of its first win of the season. Maine defeated UNLV earlier this season for its first win of the year.
UMBC has a tough road test at Princeton, who was picked to win the Ivy League. The Retrievers are the second highest-scoring offense in the conference entering play Sunday.
