With the win, Stony Brook (8-2) improved on its best-ever Division I start in program history. The game featured seven ties and eight lead changes. The Seawolves finally gained control in the game's final minutes, going on a 7-0 spurt, to turn a one-point deficit into a six-point lead with 31 seconds left.
