CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- By leading their team to a win in its lone game last week, Stony Brook University's Dave Coley and Jameel Warney are the America East men's basketball weekly award winners for the week ending Dec. 16.

Coley picked up Player of the Week accolades by spearheading a game-deciding run and Warney nearly compiled a double-double en route to earning Rookie of the Week honors. The winners were announced Monday afternoon.

Coley (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 19 points on 5-of-9 shooting and added eight rebounds and two steals in a decisive win over St. Francis Brooklyn Tuesday to earn his first-ever America East Player of the Week honor. The junior guard had 13 points in the opening frame, all of them coming during the Seawolves' 24-7 run that ended the first half and turned a one-point deficit into a 16-point advantage. For the season, Coley is averaging 12.2 points per game, good for 12th among league leaders.

Warney (Plainfield, N.J.) scored 13 points and added nine rebounds, two steals and a block in the 77-61 win over the Terriers to claim his third Rookie of the Week award already this season. The freshman forward, who has had four games of 10 plus-point and at least seven boards, made 6-of-8 shot he attempted. Warney currently leads the conference in field goal percentage (.615), is fourth in rebounding (7.9 rpg) and is 16th in scoring (11.3 ppg).
