Hartford Improves to 3-3 With Win at Yale Thursday

For the first time since 2009, Hartford's men's basketball team is back at .500 after beating Yale on Thursday. Also Thursday, New Hampshire dropped a hard-fought contest at Connecticut and UMBC fell to Canisius.

Harford (3-3) held the Bulldogs to just 30 percent shooting en route to a 60-51 win as the Hawks improved to 3-3. Wes Cole led the way with 12 points off the bench, while Yolonzo Moore III had 10 points.

New Hampshire (2-4) was within four of Connecticut late in the fourth quarter but fell 61-53 to the 6-1 Huskies. Chris Pelcher recorded a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Ferg Myrick had 20 points.

UMBC (1-4) got outrebounded by Canisius 44-27 and fell to the Golden Griffins, 83-65. Ryan Cook led three Retrievers in twin figures with 16 points and added seven rebounds.
