CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - America East teams went 2-1 on Wednesday night as Stony Brook and Albany each won their second-straight games.
Stony Brook (3-2) continued to show itself to be one of the best defensive teams in the conference, holding Robert Morris to 48 points in a 54-48 win. The Seawolves have held opponents under 50 points in all three of their wins and lead the conference in points allowed per game at 50.0.
Stony Brook also outrebounded an opponent for the third-straight game and lead the conference in rebounding margin at +12.2. It is the first time since 2005-06 the Seawolves have had a winning record through the first five games.
Albany (4-2) shot 46-percent from the field, including 6-of-12 from 3-point range to cruise to a 76-41 win over NJIT. It is the fourth win in the last five games for the Great Danes, who have had all six of their games decided by double digits. Ebone Henry led Albany with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
New Hampshire (3-2) fell to Harvard, 63-44, on the road. The Wildcats were outrebounded in the game for the first time this season. Cari Reed led UNH with 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.
