CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Boston University had a historic defensive performance on Tuesday night to highlight America East women's basketball action, while three teams will take to the court on Wednesday night.
The Terriers held Rhode Island to 29 points on Wednesday night, the lowest point total allowed by an America East team since Binghamton held Colgate to 26 back on Dec. 16, 2007. The Terriers went on to beat the Rams by a final of 54-29, holding Rhode Island to 18.1-percent shooting for the game.
Wednesday night sees Stony Brook (2-2) in search of its second-straight win, facing off against Robert Morris at 7 p.m. in Moon Township, Pa.
New Hampshire also looks to continue its hot start with a road game against Harvard at 7 p.m. The Wildcats are 3-1 to start the year, with their lone loss being a five-point defeat at the hands of Bosotn College. Each of New Hampshire's first four games has been decided by six points or less.
Albany rounds out the schedule on Wednesday as the only America East team playing at home, hosting NJIT at 7 p.m. The Great Danes have won three of their last four, with all three of its wins coming by double digits.
