A pair of America East men's basketball teams take floor in search of their first wins of the season Friday.

Hartford will host Sacred Heart at 7 pm. at Chase Family Arena while Binghamton heads to Army for a 7 p.m. contest.

The Hawks (0-2) shot 52 percent vs. Mount St. Mary’s Tuesday, but committed 20 turnovers, which resulted in 22 Mountaineer points. Mark Nwakamma scored a career-high 21 points and is averaging 18.0 ppg after producing just 9.6 per game last season.

The Bearcats (0-2) conclude their four-game in eight day stretch at Army. On Wednesday, Binghamton closed to within five of Navy midway through the second half Wednesday, but were outscored 21-5 down the stretch and fell, 75-52. Jordan Reed had career highs of 15 points and 11 rebounds, his first career double-double.

Alson on Wednesday, Maine fell at Holy Cross, 57-54, despite a monster double-double from Alasdair Fraser (21 points, 15 rebounds), and UMBC fell at Loyola, 86-70, despite a career-high tying 28 points from Chase Plummer, the conference's top returning scorer from last year.
