UNH Secures At Least Share of Regular-Season FH Title; 2 More Games Saturday

For the third straight year, New Hampshire has secured at least a share of the America East field hockey regular-season title as the Wildcats defeated Boston University, 1-0, Friday to earn the feat. Two more games take place Saturday and with an Albany win over Maine, the Wiildcats can clinch the top seed for the conference tournament for the third straight year.

•    UNH (8-7, 4-0 AE) earned at least a share of the America East regular-season crown Friday with its 1-0 win over Boston U.
(9-6, 3-1 AE).
•    The Wildcats Lynne Lehman scored her fourth goal of the year amidst traffic in front of the cage in the 10th minute to deliver the lone goal of the game.
•    UNH's Carlie Tarbell made nine saves to record her first shutout of the season.

•    The Wildcats earned at least a share of the regular-season title for the third straight year and can earn the top seed for the America East Championship with an Albany win over Main Saturday.

•    The winner will earn a leg up in securing an America East Championship bid and would soldify a spot in the field with an Albany win over Maine Saturday.
•    Fairfield has won the last four meetings in the series, all by one goal.
•    This game features two players near the top of the national rankings. The Stags' Felicitas Heinen, who has 30 points on 13 goals and four assists, leads America East and is 17th nationally in goals per game, while Vermont's Stephanie Zygmunt ranks second nationally averaging 9.73 saves per game.
