CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In the only America East volleyball match of the night, Hartford beat New Hampshire for the first time since 1996, breaking a 31-match winning streak by the Wildcats in the all-times series.

  • Hartford beat New Hampshire for the first time since 1996, topping the Wildcats, 3-2, in a back-and-forth five-set match. It ended 31-straight wins in the series for the Wildcats.
  • The Hawks were led by the Nethersole sisters, as Kami led all hitters in the match with 19 kills and Sareeta notched 18. Jackie Tamburri was outstanding for the Hawks, recording a double-double with 59 assists and a career-best 26 digs.
  • After New Hampshire won the first set, the Hawks battled the Wildcats to a, 27-25, second-set win, rattling off the final three points on kills from Kami and Sareeta and an ace from Tamburri which ended the set.
  • The Wildcats won the third set to take a 2-1 lead in the match, but Hartford coasted to a fourth-set win, leading from start-to-finish to force a fifth set.
  • With the fifth set tied at 12, the Hawks scored the final three points to win the match.
