Six America East men's basketball teams take the court Wednesday, including Stony Brook, which will look to climb into a first-place tie with Boston U. atop the league standings.
The Seawolves (11-7, 6-1 AE) host Hartford (4-15, 4-3 AE) at 7 p.m. at Pritchard Gym, where they are 7-0 this season and have won eight straight overall. Stony Brook, the league's best defensive team holding opponents to 60.7 points per game, has won eight of its last nine games while the Hawks have won three of their last four.
Elsewhere Albany (12-9, 4-3 AE) looks to extend its 10-game home court win streak when Binghamton (0-19, 0-7 AE) visits SEFCU Arena at 7 p.m. The Bearcats have won four of their last six games at SEFCU including a pair of games in the 2009 America East Championship en route to the league title.
In Durham, N.H., New Hampshire (6-11, 2-5 AE) hosts Maine (8-10, 2-5 AE). The Black Bears, who have dropped five in a row, have won four straight and 14 of the last 18 matchups in the series. However, the Wildcats are tough at Lundholm Gym, where five of their six wins have come.
