America East's hottest team will try to move into sole possession of first place in the league standings when Boston University hosts UMBC in the only men's basketball game Tuesday. Tip time at Case Gym is 7 p.m.
The Terriers (10-11, 6-1 AE), who currently sit in a first-place tie with Stony Brook atop the standings, have won six straight games overall and five of the last seven meetings with UMBC. Boston U., which beat Hartford, 65-46, its last time out Sunday, has a +11.3 margin of victory during their win streak while holding foes to just 54.2 points per game.
The Retrievers (3-15, 2-5 AE), who are coming off a loss to Vermont Sunday, are looking for their third conference win. UMBC split last year's set with Boston U., including a 71-67 win in Baltimore on Jan. 17 behind 11 points from junior forward Adrian Satchell.
