Before the NFL Playoffs get going later this afternoon, there is plenty of America East women's hoops action for fans to tune into on Sunday, including one of the league's top rivalries of the decade and two televised contests.

Boston U. (13-6, 6-0 AE) and Hartford (11-9, 2-4 AE) meet at noon at Case Gym in a rematch of last year's America East Title Game which the Hawks won 65-53. The Terriers and Hawks have provided plenty of great moments in the past, including buzzer-beaters, overtimes and championships won.

In the first meeting between these teams this year, Hartford, generally known as a defensive team under Head Coach Jennifer Rizzotti, will have to slow down the Terriers' offense which is averaging 67 points per game in conference play.

The Terriers' offense has been well-balanced as of late with ten different players scoring last time out in a win against UNH.

The Wildcats (10-8, 3-3 AE) and Bearcats (9-10, 3-3 AE) will play with a live television audience on WBIN-TV with a 1 p.m. tip-off. Binghamton's Andrea Holmes leads America East in scoring since conference play begun with 16.3 ppg. New Hampshire forwards Denise Beliveau and Morgan Frame are third and fourth and combine for 19.5 ppg.

Up in Burlington, UMBC (10-9, 6-1 AE) and Vermont (8-12, 2-5) will square-off on WCAXtra beginning at 1 p.m. The Retrievers swept last season's series, but the Catamounts lead the all-time series 11-5.

In yesterday's only game, Maine (5-15, 2-5 AE) jumped out in front of Stony Brook (4-16, 1-6 AE) and won on the road 57-44. The Black Bears shot 44.7 percent from the field and held the Seawolves to under 30 percent.

Four Black Bears scored in twin figures, led by 12 points each from Samantha Baranowski and Corinne Wellington.

Taylor Burner (11 points) and Whitney Davis (10 points) led the Seawolves in the scoring column.
