Boston U. Travels to Hartford in Sunday's Men's Hoops Game of the Day

Hartford and Boston U., two of the league's hottest teams, square off at the site of the 2012 America East Championship in the league's game of the day Sunday. Elsewhere Vermont visits UMBC and Binghamton hosts New Hampshire.

The Hawks (4-14, 4-2 AE) will be looking for their first four-game win streak since February of 2008 Sunday when it hosts while Boston U. (9-11, 5-1) at Chase Arena. The Terriers are going for its sixth consecutive win and can move into a tie with Stony Brook atop the league standings with a win. Boston U. has won seven of the last eight series meetings including a 55-49 victory in last year's America East semifinals en route to winning the league title. Both teams come into the game playing stellar defense. Hartford has surrendered just 53 points per game in its four conference wins while Boston U. is holding foes to just 55.8 points per game during its win streak.

Bingahmton (0-18, 0-6 AE) hope its past success against UNH (6-11, 1-5 AE) help fuel its first win. The Bearcats are 15-6 all-time in the series and have won eight of the last 10 meetings. However, UNH is 4-4 against Binghamton in its last four trips to the Events Center.

In Baltimore, UMBC (3-14, 2-4 AE) is going for consecutive wins after its win over Binghamton Thursday. Vermont (10-10, 5-2 AE), winner of five of its last six games, is seeking its eighth straight win over the Retrievers.

In Saturday's lone game, Stony Brook (11-7, 6-1 AE) won for the eighth time in nine games, downing Maine (8-10, 2-5 AE), 58-52, in Orono. The Seawolves, who moved back into sole possession of first place in the league standings with the win, held the Black Bears to just 33 percent shooting. Tommy Brenton contributed nine points, a season-high 15 rebounds and four assists to lead Stony Brook, while, Justin Edwards had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Maine, which has dropped five in a row.
