Another busy week of America East games grinds on tonight with four more contests. All four tip-off at 7 p.m.
UMBC (10-8, 4-1 AE) and Binghamton (8-10, 2-3 AE), both America East Semifinalists a year ago,
square-off in the Bearcats' Events Center. The Retrievers enter the game with a three-game win streak, while the Bearcats have dropped the last three.
UMBC senior Erin Brown leads
America East in conference play with 18.0 ppg, 2.0 ppg more than the
next player. Binghamton senior Andrea Holmes leads the Bearcats, and
ranks fourth in league play, with 14.8 ppg.
Boston U. (12-6 overall) puts its 5-0 conference record and 6-0 record at home this season on the line against a New Hampshire (10-7, 3-2 AE) team which is 6-3 on the road. The Wildcats' 10 victories are the program's most since the 2005-06 season.
Vermont (8-11, 2-4 AE) continues its two-game road trip with a visit to Albany (11-8, 5-1 AE). Both teams fell on MLK day to Maine and Boston U., respectively, and will be looking to get back on track.
Both Hartford (10-9) and Maine (4-14) stand at 1-4 entering tonight's contest at Chase Arena. The Hawks will be looking for their first home win over an America East opponent while the Black Bears hope to build momentum after their first league win on Monday.
