Hartford goes for its third win in four games when UMBC visits Chase Arena in the lone men's basketball game of the day on Tuesday. Tip time in 7 p.m.
The Hawks (2-14, 2-2 AE) outscored Binghamton 43-30 in the second half by shooting 65 percent (11-for-17) in the frame and posted its second win in three games to reach the .500 mark in league play on Sunday. The Retrievers (2-14, 1-3 AE) have been off for nearly a week and look to snap a three-game losing skid.
On Wednesday, Boston U. (8-11, 4-1 AE) won its fourth straight, a 70-57 win over Albany (12-8, 4-2 AE) in a battle of the two hottest teams in the league. The Terriers shot 51 percent and held the Great Danes to 31 percent and 17 points below their season average. D.J. Irving, reigning Co-Player of the Week, scored 16 points and added six assists. Logan Aronhalt had 20 for Albany and is just three shy of 1,000 for his career.
Stony Brook (10-7, 5-1 AE) regained sole possession of first place via its 61-52 victory over New Hampshire (6-10, 1-4). The Seawolves held a 32-21 edge on the boards and held UNH to just 42 field goal attempts. Al Rapier led three in double figures, scoring 14 points and adding nine rebounds. Alvin Abreu had a game-high 20 for UNH.
Vermont (10-10, 4-2 AE) bounced back from its last at UNH with a 79-65 win over Maine (8-8, 2-3 AE). The Catamounts shot 49 percent from the floor and canned 20-of-23 free throw attempts. Four McGlynn paced UVM with 16 points off the bench. Five-time America East Rookie of the Week Justin Edwards had 19 for Maine.
