Vermont Looks to Stop Skid Against Crusaders

at Vermont vs. Holy Cross, 4 p.m. -- Live Video

  • Vermont (4-5, 0-1 America East) steps out of conference and looks to halt a two-game skid as it welcomes Holy Cross to Burlington.
  • The Catamounts have dropped their last two contests againsts Holy Cross, including an 11-1 setback against the Crusaders last season.
  • In its last game, Vermont squandered a four-goal lead in the fourth quarter before falling to Binghamton, 8-7, in overtime in its America East opener.
  • Senior midfielder Kyle Sminkey scored a career-high three goals against the Bearcats last Saturday. Sminkey now has eight goals this season after entering his senior year with just seven career tallies.
  • Sophomore attack Drew Philie did  not score against the Bearcats. However, he still leads the Catamounts in scoring (25 points) and goals (18).
