Albany 12, at Siena 10 -- Box Score

  • Albany (5-9, 0-4 America East) used a 5-0 run over a span of three minutes and 53 seconds in the third quarter to take an insurmountable 11-6 lead into the fourth quarter on the road at Siena.
  • The win snapped a four-game losing streak and is the Great Danes' first road win in 2011.
  • Siena held a 46-41 advantage in shots and a 23-21 edge in shots on goal.
  • Albany freshman keeper Edmund Cathers stopped 13 shots, including six in the fourth quarter to help protect a lead.
  • Siena held a 48-37 advantage in ground balls and also won 15-of-25 faceoffs.
  • Freshman attack Ty Thompson scored three goals, all of which came in the Great Danes' 5-0 run in the third quarter.
  • Junior attack Joe Resetarits scored three goals while also dishing out one assist. Resetarits also picked up three ground balls and caused a turnover.
  • Senior attack Brian Caulfield scored a pair of goals and added two helpers for four points while freshman attack Miles Thompson also scored four points on one goal and three assists.
