Albany Grabs Last-Second Win at Boston U.

*#10/7 Albany 12, at Boston U. 11 -- Box Score

  • Albany freshman midfielder Ariana Parker scored an unassisted goal with 11 seconds remaining to clinch a victory for the Great Danes (12-0, 4-0 America East) on the road at Boston U. (6-7, 2-2 AE).
  • The two teams combined to score 14 goals in a second half that included five ties and three lead changes. Albany held an 8-6 advantage on the scoreboard in the second half.
  • The Terriers held a slight advantage in shots, 22-21, and shots on goal, 15-13.
  • Parker scored five goals on the afternoon, all in the second half, to lead the Albany offense.
  • Senior attack Jodi Battaglia added a hat trick for the Great Danes while classmate Taylor Frink posted three points on one goal and two assists.
  • Boston U. junior attack Hannah Frey scored a game-high six goals to pace the Terrier offense. Sophomore attack Danielle Etrasco added four points on three goals and an assist.

 
*at New Hampshire 12, Stony Brook 6 -- Box Score

  • New Hampshire (7-6, 2-2 AE) caused 10 turnovers while holding Stony Brook (4-9, 1-4 AE) to just 8-of-21 clears on the afternoon.
  • New Hampshire outshot Stony Brook, 34-16, and held a 24-14 advantage in shots on goal.
  • The Wildcats won 15-of-20 draw controls against the Seawolves.
  • New Hampshire midfielder Ilana Cohen led the Wildcat offense, scoring five points on three goals and a pair of assists. The junior also picked up two ground balls and caused two turnovers.
  • Junior attack Hayley Raush also posted five points, scoring two goals and dishing out three assists.
  • New Hampshire junior midfielder Kate Keagins scored two goals and added an assist while sophomore attack Jenny Simpson also tallied two goals.
  • Stony Brook senior keeper Mickey Cahill stopped 12 shots for the Seawolves. 
  • Senior attack Samantha Djaha scored three goals to lead the Seawolves while midfielder Victoria Cable found the back of the net twice.
