BOSTON -
For the first time in America East's history, both men's and women's
basketball championship games will be played in the same city, on the
same day. Boston University will be the site for both title contets this
Saturday and tickets are now available for fans from all three
participating schools.
Championship Saturday gets started at 12
noon when No. 2 Boston University hosts No. 5 Stony Brook in the men's
championship game at Agganis Arena. Seven hours later, No. 2 Boston U.
will host No. 4 Hartford at 7 p.m. in Case Gym in the women's title
tilt.
Tickets for each game are $25 for adults and $10 for America East students. Fans can purchase tickets online at AgganisArena.com, Ticketmaster.com
(men's game only) or by calling the Boston U. box office at
617-353-GOBU (4028). Fans can also visit the box office, located at 925
Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Boston
U. students can get in for free at both games with their sports pass.
Terrier fans can also buy an exclusive package to attend both games,
along with the women's hockey team's first-round NCAA contest, for just
$40.
Stony Brook students can reserve their spot on the Stony
Brook Student Fan Bus by going to the SAC Ticket Office on Tuesday,
Wednesday or Thursday and showing their Stony Brook ID.
The
Seawolves' block of tickets will go on sale to the general public by
phone only (631-632-4513) on Wednesday and Thursday between 9 a.m. and 5
p.m. and will be sold on a first-call, first-serve basis.
Hartford
fans can reserve tickets in their block by calling the Malcolm &
Brenda Berman Athletics Box Office at 860-768-HAWK (4-2-9-5) or emailing
tickets@hartford.edu. Hartford will also be offering fan buses to
Boston for $10.
A limited number of free student tickets and
spots on the fan bus are available for University of Hartford students
courtesy of President Harrison. Students can get their tickets by
visiting or calling the box office.
