Wednesday, March 9
at Hartford vs. Brown, 3:30 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Audio | Live Video

  • Hartford (1-2) hosts Brown as it looks to recover from a 10-9 loss at Siena last Sunday.
  • Hartford's offense has posted an average of 10.33 goals per game this season, second best in America East, while Brown has allowed just 13 goals total in its two contests this season.
  • Brown holds a 7-0 advantage in the all-time series with the Hawks, a series that dates back to 2002. Most recently, Brown nipped the Hawks, 13-12, in overtime last season.
  • Ten different Hawks have scored a goal this season, led by attackmen Ryan Compitello and Jared Franze, who each have six goals this season.

at Albany 9, #5/5 Massachusetts 8 -- Box Score

  • Albany (2-1) jumped out to a 5-1 lead with 3:59 remaining in the second quarter. The Great Danes went into halftime with a 6-2 edge.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Edmund Cathers made 17 saves, including one stop with 11 seconds remaining on a shot UMass attack Mike Fetterly. Eight of Cathers' saves came in the fourth quarter.
  • The last time Albany beat a top-10 team was February 24, 2007, when the Great Danes topped #6 Johns Hopkins, 8-7. Prior to today, the Great Danes had never beaten a top-five team at the Division I level.
  • Albany won despite being outshot, 47-28. UMass outshot Albany, 33-9 in the second half and held a 25-19 advantage in shots on goal.
  • Junior attack Joe Resetarits scored three goals, including the eventual gamewinner for the Great Danes. He also added an assist and now has 11 total points (8 goals, 3 assists) through three games.
  • Senior attack Matt Johnson also scored three goals and added an assist for a career-high four points.


at Binghamton 11, Hobart 5 -- Box Score

  • Binghamton (2-3) went on a 9-0 run in the second and third quarters to turn a 0-1 deficit into a 9-1 lead.
  • The Bearcat defense held Hobart without a goal for more than 35 minutes from the first quarter into the fourth quarter.
  • The Bearcats have now won two straight for the first time since March 8 and March 15, 2008.
  • Sophomore attack Matt Springer, senior midfielder David Raleigh and junior midfielder John Clark each tallied two goalsin the contest.
  • Binghamton converted 3-of-5 extra-man opportunities while holding Hobart scoreless in four extra-man opportunities.


at #2/2 Virginia 14, Vermont 6 -- Box Score

  • Vermont (3-2) held a 3-2 lead with 5:09 remaining in the first quarter, but the Catamounts could not keep up with the Cavaliers and their explosive offense.
  • Vermont won the battle at the face-off X, taking 13-of-23 face offs. However, Virginia held a 49-30 advantage in ground balls.
  • Virginia outshot the Catamounts, 44-37.
  • Freshman attack Connor McNamara led the Catamounts with two goals on the evening. Sophomore attack Drew Philie added one goal and one assist.
