gameday throughout the 2011 season, America East will provide a women's
lacrosse update that previews the day's matchups as well as recaps the
previous day's action. The update will also provide links to live
coverage, box scores and highlights of select games. Fans can also

Wednesday, March 23
Boston U. 12, at Yale 5 -- Box Score
- Boston U. (4-4) held Yale to just one goal over the final 37 minutes of the game to run its 2011 record to 3-0 against Ivy League opponents.
- The Terriers rattled off an 8-0 run to close out the first half and start the second half.
- Boston U. held a 23-15 advantage in ground balls, including a 12-5 edge in the first half.
- Sophomore attack Danielle Etrasco led the scoring attack for the Terriers with four goals, three of which came during the decisive 8-0 run.
- Senior attack Erica Baumgartner scored a pair of goals while also racking up four assists for a game-high six points.
#6/5 Loyola 15, UMBC 8 -- Box Score
- UMBC (6-3) fell behind Loyola, 5-1, in the first half and was not able to come back against the Greyhounds.
- UMBC outshot Loyola, 32-24. However, both teams put 19 shots on goal.
- The Retrievers held an 18-12 advantage in ground balls and a 13-11 advantage in draw controls.
- UMBC was 0-for-4 on its free-position shots while Loyola converted 3-of-5 free-position chances.
- Senior Amanda Pappas scored four goals and added an assist to lead the Retrievers with five total points. Senior attack Ashley Stodter tallied three goals while junior midfielder Alicia Krause scored one goal and dished out a pair of assists.
#14/11 Albany at Colgate, Postponed
- Albany (6-0) and Colgate could not play this afternoon due to inclement weather in Hamilton, N.Y.
- The game has not yet been rescheduled.
Tuesday, March 22
#1 Maryland 19, at Stony Brook 5 -- Box Score

Despite two assists from freshman attack Alyssa
Cardillo, Stony Brook couldn't overcome the potent attack of No. 1 Maryland, as
it fell 19-5.

Along with the two points from Cardillo, the
Seawolves also received a goal and an assist from junior attack Abby Ford.

Freshman midfielder Kaila Gottlick recorded a
goal and scooped up two ground balls in the loss, while senior attack Samantha
Djaha scored a goal and controlled a team-high three draws.
Binghamton 14, at Davidson 10 -- Box Score

Binghamton put an end to its four-game losing
streak with a key 14-10 road victory over Davidson.

Sophomore attack Lis Zuern led the Bearcats with
a game-high five points on two goals and a team-high three assists.

Senior attack Ali Castiglie scored three goals
and dished out an assist in the win. Senior attack Beth Moore added three goals.
