UMBC Hosts Cross-town Rival #6/5 Loyola

Boston U. at Yale, 4 p.m. -- Live Stats

  • Boston U. (3-4) looks to put an end to a two-game skid when it hits the road for a meeting with Yale.
  • Yale won last season's meeting, 11-9, at Nickerson Field and owns an 11-3 edge in the all-time series.
  • The Terriers won the last matchup between the two clubs at Yale, 12-6, in 2009. Boston U. head coach Liz Robertshaw is 2-2 against Yale in her tenure with the Terriers.
  • Senior Erica Baumgartner dished out four assists against Denver last Saturday to reach the 100-assist mark for her career. With 102 career assists, Baumgartner is just six helpers behind all-time Terrier assist leader Mary Beth Miller.

  • Albany (6-0) puts its undefeated season on the line as it heads to Hamilton, N.Y., for an afternoon matchup against Colgate.
  • The Great Danes won last season's meeting with the Raiders, 12-7, in Albany.
  • Albany is scoring 14.83 goals per game on 33.7 shots per contest while holding opponents to an average of 5.67 goals per game and 17.3 shots.
  • Senior attack Taylor Frink leads America East with 31 points on 18 goals and 13 assists. Frink is averaging a league-best 5.17 points per game.


at UMBC vs. #6/5 Loyola, 6:30 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video

  • UMBC (6-2) looks to extend its three-game winning streak as it hosts crosstown rival Loyola.
  • The Retrievers are 4-0 at home this season, averaging 14.25 goals per game at UMBC Stadium in 2011.
  • Last season, Loyola topped UMBC, 7-4, at UMBC Stadium. UMBC is just 4-24-1 all-time against the Greyhounds.
  • Senior attack Amanda Pappas put up four goals and two assists in UMBC's 15-8 win over Mt. St. Mary's last Saturday. Pappas is tied for the team lead with 17 goals on the season.

1 Maryland 19 at Stony Brook 5- Box Score

  • Despite two assists from freshman attack Alyssa Cardillo, Stony Brook couldn't overcome the potent attack of No. 1 Maryland, as it fell 19-5.
  • Along with the two points from Cardillo, the Seawolves also received a goal and an assist from junior attack Abby Ford.
  • Freshman midfielder Kaila Gottlick recorded a goal and scooped up two ground balls in the loss, while senior attack Samantha Djaha scored a goal and controlled a team-high three draws.

 

Binghamton 14 at Davidson 10- Box Score

  • Binghamton put an end to its four-game losing streak with a key 14-10 road victory over Davidson.
  • Sophomore attack Lis Zuern led the Bearcats with a game-high five points on two goals and a team-high three assists.
  • Senior attack Ali Castiglie scored three goals and dished out an assist in the win. Senior attack Beth Moore added three goals.
