Saturday, March 13
at Albany 11, #13/16 Ohio State 9 -- Box Score

  • Albany (3-1) topped its second straight top-20 opponent when it beat Ohio State today. The Great Danes beat #5 UMass earlier in the week.
  • Albany went on a 5-0 run in the second quarter to turn a 5-3 deficit into an 8-5 lead. Albany eventually expanded its lead to 11-6.
  • Albany held off an Ohio State offense that fired off 17 shots in the fourth quarter. Albany keeper Edmund Cathers made six of his 12 saves in the final period.
  • Freshman attack Ty Thompson posted a career-high three goals, while junior midfielder Rocky Bonitatibus scored two goals and added two assists for a career-high four points.

at Binghamton 9, Marist 5 -- Box Score
  • Binghamton (3-3) rattled off five first-quarter goals to take a four-goal lead that it would hold throughout the game.
  • Binghamton held a slight edge in shots, 34-32, but put 25 shots on goal while Marist was on target on just 20 of its attempts.
  • Binghamton sophomore keeper Kraig Heston made 15 saves onthe afternoon, including seven stops in the fourth quarter.
  • Sophomore attack Matt Springer scored four goals on only five shot attempts. Springer was the only Bearcat to score more than one goal.
  • Senior midfielder Frank Donlon and sophomore attack Tyler Perrelle each scored two points on one goal and one assist.

at #6/6 Stony Brook 14, Delaware 9 -- Box Score
  • Stony Brook (2-1) used its high-powered offense to jump out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter against Delaware.
  • Stony Brook scooped up 35 ground balls while Delaware grabbed just 20.
  • Senior midfielder Kevin Crowley led the Seawolves with a season-high six points on three goals and three assists. Crowley now has 14 points (10 goals, four assists) through three games.
  • Senior attack Jordan McBride also added a hat trick while senior attack Tom Compitello and junior midfielder Russ Bonanno each scored three points on two goals and an assist.

Johns Hopkins 16, UMBC 5 (at M&T Bank Stadium) -- Box Score
  • UMBC (1-3) could not get its offense going as it lost to Johns Hopkins in the Face-Off Classic at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
  • Johns Hopkins outshot the Retrievers, 44-30, and held a 25-16 advantage in shots on goal.
  • UMBC won just 5-of-25 faceoffs and picked up just 24 ground balls while Johns Hopkins picked up 39 ground balls.
  • UMBC sophomore midfielder Dave Brown scored a pair of goals and was the only Retriever to find the back of the net more than once. Sophomore attack Joe Lustgarten scored two points on one goal and one assist.
