Sophomore guard Jacob Iati hit a pair of free throws with 2.6 seconds remaining to seal the win for Albany (12-14, 5-6 AE) in the nightcap of the Big Purple Growl.
- The Great Danes shot 44.7 percent from the field. Hartford (7-16, 4-6 AE) shot 40.6 percent (13-for-32) from three-point range but just 30.8 percent (8-for-26) on field goal attempts inside the arc.
- Albany won the battle of the boards, 39-27, including a 12-10 advantage on the offensive glass.
- Hartford racked up 10 steals while forcing 12 Albany turnovers. The Hawks gave the ball away seven times.
- Albany senior guard Tim Ambrose led the way with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting to go along with seven rebounds. Freshman forward Luke Devlin recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore guard Mike Black added 11 points and seven assists.
- Senior guards Milton Burton and Joe Zeglinski led the Hawks. Burton scored 16 points and dished out four assists. Zeglinski scored 15 points, all on three-pointers, while grabbing five rebounds and notching three steals.

New Hampshire (11-13, 5-7 AE) shot 52.3 percent from the field on 23-of-44 shooting, including 7-of-17 three-point attempts. Binghamton (6-18, 3-8 AE) shot 40.0 percent (18-of-45) from the floor.
- Binghamton shot 18-for-28 from the free throw line. New Hampshire shot 12-21 from the charity stripe.
- Senior guard Tyrone Conley scored 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-5 shooting from long range, to lead the Wildcats.
- Senior center Dane DiLiegro scored 14 points on 6-of-7 field goal shooting while ripping down 14 rebounds. Sophomore guard Chandler Rhoads also added 14 points.
- Senior forward Moussa Camara paced the Bearcats with 13 points. Mahamoud Jabbi added 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
