- The Black Bears earned a thrilling 60-57 win in the season's first matchup thanks to a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Maine senior Tanna Ross.
- UMBC's trio of juniors have accounted for 68.9 percent of the Retrievers' scoring this season behind Michelle Kurowski's league-leading 15.9 ppg. Erin Brown is averaging 12.7 ppg, while Topé Obajolu has 10.7 ppg.
- Maine freshman guard Ashleigh Roberts has led the Black Bears in points in every conference game but three this year. She's averaging a team-high 12.9 ppg against America East opponents.

- The Catamounts upended the Seawolves, 57-49, in Burlington back on January 12. Vermont's Tonya Young notched a double double of 20 points and 10 rebounds in the first game against Stony Brook this year.
- Vermont, which has a +3.3 rebounding margin in conference games, has outrebounded its opponents in six of the last eight games. Young leads the Catamounts with 7.3 rpg against America East opponents.
- Stony Brook senior forward Kirsten Jeter ranks 38th in the nation in steals with 2.8 spg, including 3.1 spg in league games. She's helped the Seawolves average 9.2 swipes per contest, good for second in the conference.

- Saturday's game marks Albany's Big Purple Growl, a doubleheader with the men's programs. Earlier this year at Hartford, the Great Danes hung on for a 46-43 victory over the Hawks, breaking a 13-game series skid.
- Hartford sophomore forward Ruthanne Doherty, who is averaging 7.0 ppg and 5.1 rpg this season, has stepped up her game over the last three contests with 15.3 ppg and 7.0 rpg.
- Albany sophomore guard Ebone Henry is the Great Danes' team leader with 13.9 ppg and 56 steals.

- New Hampshire rallied from a 12-point second half deficit to secure the victory, the Wildcats' fourth in the last six games.
- Sophomore guard Cari Reed netted a game-high 19 points, including 5-of-10 shooting from behind the arc, and grabbed five rebounds in the win. Freshman guard Kelsey Hogan added 13 points and six rebounds
- The Wildcats registered 16 assists on 19 of their made field goals. All five starters dished out multiple helpers, led by junior Denise Beliveau's four assists and Hogan's three.
- Albany sophomore forward Ebone Henry scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed four rebounds in 39 minutes of action.
