CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Four America East basketball student-athletes have been selected to the Capital One Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for their combined performances on the floor and in the classroom. All four received first-team recognition which advances them to the ballots for the Academic All-America Teams to be selected later this month.

University of Albany sophomore forward Julie Forster (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) and University of Hartford senior guard Mary Silvia (Reading, Mass./Reading Memorial) were cited on the women's basketball University Division District I First Team, while UMBC junior guard Michelle Kurowski (Hicksville, N.Y./Hicksville) received the same honor in District II.

Sophomore guard Logan Aronhalt (Zanesville, Ohio/Zanesville) of the Albany men's basketball team was one of five student-athletes and the only sophomore feted from the District I University Division.

Kurowski, a psychology major maintaining a 3.82 GPA, leads America East in scoring with 15.9 points per game, tallying her 1,000th career point earlier this season. The junior guard leads the Retrievers in rebounding with 5.7 boards per game, while also averaging 2.8 assists per game, 1.8 steals per game and a league-best .887 free-throw percentage.
