Ten finalists--five men's players and five women's players--have been named for the 2011 America East Men's and Women's Basketball Fans' Choice Player of the Year Awards. The ten finalists were determined by nearly 2,000 fans who submitted votes.
The finalists for the men's award are John Holland of Boston U, Troy Barnies of Maine, Tyrone Conley of New Hampshire, Evan Fjeld of Vermont and Brian Voelkel of Vermont.
The women's finalists are Kerry Cashman of Boston U., Amber Smith of Maine, Michelle Kurowski of UMBC, Lauren Buschmann of Vermont and Tonya Young of Vermont.
The women's ballot (available HERE) will be open until noon on Monday, February 28. America East will announce the winner on Tuesday, March 1.
The men's ballot (available HERE) will be live through noon on Tuesday, March 1. The conference will unveil the winner on Wednesday, March 2.
