In this edition of "America East Online", the show profiles the latest stories and achievements of the America East Conference. America East Online is a 20-minute web-only show which features all nine of the conference's campuses and highlights athletics, academics and leadership.

The episode begins with a feature on Marqus Blakely, who won two America East Player of the Year Awards during his outstanding career at the University of Vermont. In the feature, Blakely discusses some of his favorite memories and relationships he built during his time in Burlington, as well as his time in the NBDL as a member of the Bakersfield Jam and Iowa Energy.

The next segment gives the audience a preview of the work the America East Conference is doing to celebrate Black History Month. Snippets from interviews with four African-American alumni from four different member institutions give background on the type of video segments that will be available on Americaeast.com throughout the month of February.

The student-athlete profile this week features "America East Online" host Max Mandel in an interview with Boston University senior forward Kerry Cashman, who serves as a vocal leader for this young Terriers team. In the interview, Cashman discusses some of the keys to her steady improvement throughout her career, as well as how close this team is both on and off the court.

The episode concludes with the Best Of U. series. This Best of U. profiles the Boston University rowing team and its work with WeCanRow Boston, which is a wellness and recovery program for breast cancer survivors. Interviews with rowing head coach Stacey Rippetoe and WeCanRow participant Phyllis Groskin highlight the physical and mental benefits that these women surviving with breast cancer get from working out with the rowing team and using their facilities.

The show, hosted by Mandel, will be available every Wednesday throughout the basketball season. Fans can watch the web show at the America East Zone on AmericaEast.com, as well as on the league's social media web sites such as YouTube and Facebook
