- The Terriers and Retrievers are squaring off for possession of first place, and come into the game trending in opposite directions. UMBC has won three straight games, while Boston U. is on a two-game skid.
- In the teams' first meeting this year in Boston, the Terriers won, 65-39. Boston U. senior Kerry Cashman finished with nine points, 14 boards and two blocks, while junior Alex Young shot 4-for-8 from behind the arc to score a team-high 16 points.
- UMBC junior guard Michelle Kurowski, who paced the Retrievers with 15 points in first game, leads America East in scoring with 15.2 ppg.

- The Wildcats won earlier this year against the Wildcats, 63-59 in overtime.
- In that game, four UNH players reached double-digit scoring and sophomore Cari Reed recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
- Vermont senior Tonya Young, who along with Kelli Hier will be honored on Senior Night tonight, is averaging 17.2 ppg in the last 10 outings, reaching twin figures in nine of those performances.

- Binghamton, who upended the Hawks in Hartford 69-57 last month, has never swept the regular season series against Hartford since joining America East 10 years ago.
- The Hawks are shooting at the second-best three-point clip in the conference during league play at .360. However, last time out against Binghamton, the league's stingiest three-point shooting defense, Hartford shot 2-for-23.

- Albany took the year's first meeting in Stony Brook, 67-55 on January 18. Four Great Danes scored in double digits, while sophomores Ebone Henry and Julie Forster both recorded double-doubles.
- Stony Brook senior forward Kirsten Jeter leads America East in scoring during league play with 17.5 ppg and ranks ninth with 7.3 rpg.
- After leading America East in rebounding as a freshman, Forster is poised to do so again with a league-best 9.9 rpg.

*Albany 75, at Vermont 65 - Boxscore
- Albany outrebounded Vermont, 42-25, while grabbing more than twice as many offensive boards, 20-9, as the Catamounts.
- The Great Danes converted 22-of-31 free throw attempts. Vermont attempted just 13 free throws, making 11.
- Vermont shot 44.6 percent from the field, hitting 25-of-56 field goal attempts. The Catamounts recorded assists on 18 of their 25 made baskets.
- Albany was led by sophomore guard Ebone Henry, who scored 20 points to go along with six rebounds and four steals. Forward Jullie Forster earned her 10th double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
- Senior forward Tonya Young scored a team-high 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 effort from the free throw line. Sophomore guard Lauren Wheeler and freshman guard Sam Simononis each added 10 points for Vermont.
