*Albany 75, at Vermont 65 -- Box Score

  • Albany (14-11, 7-5 AE) outrebounded Vermont (4-22, 4-9 AE), 42-25, while grabbing more than twice as many offensive boards, 20-9, as the Catamounts.
  • The Great Danes converted 22-of-31 free throw attempts. Vermont attempted just 13 free throws, making 11.
  • Vermont shot 44.6 percent from the field, hitting 25-of-56 field goal attempts. The Catamounts recorded assists on 18 of their 25 made baskets.
  • Albany was led by sophomore guard Ebone Henry, who scored 20 points to go along with six rebounds and four steals. Forward Jullie Forster earned her 10th double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Senior guard Melia Basavand scored 14 points and junior forward Tabitha Makopondo added 13 points for the Great Danes.
  • Senior forward Tonya Young scored a team-high 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line. Sophomore guard Lauren Wheeler and freshman guard Sam Simononis each added 10 points for Vermont.
