  • The Terriers and Hawks met earlier this year on an America East Television game at Case Gym where Boston U. came from behind to win, 58-50. Terrier sophomore guard Mo Moran tallied 19 points, five assists and three steals.
  • Boston U. and Hartford are the top scoring teams in league play so far. Boston U. is averaging 67.6 ppg, while Hartford puts in 60.0 ppg.
  • Terrier Chantell Alford is on a 15-game double-figure scoring streak during which she has averaged 17.0 ppg and shot .417.
  • Hartford's Ruthanne Doherty, who has scored 10+ points in four of the last five games, is averaging 10.0 ppg and shooting at a .506 clip against America East foes.

  • UMBC defeated New Hampshire, 69-51, during the first meeting this year down in Baltimore. The Retrievers hold the 8-7 edge in the all-time series.
  • Both the Retrievers and the Wildcats have already exceeded their America East win totals from last year.
  • Retriever junior Tope Obajolu has broken the program's single-season blocks record with 48 already. Obajolu leads the league in rejections, including 25 in America East action.
  • Wildcat junior forward Denise Beliveau is coming off her second straight double-double in a win against Stony Brook. She's averaging 13.8 ppg and a league-best 9.8 rpg since league play has started.

*Vermont 59, at Binghamton 58 - Boxscore

  • Vermont senior forward Tonya Young stole the ball with seven seconds remaining and sophomore guard Kristine Lalonde hit a free throw to seal the win for the Catamounts.
  • Binghamton shot just 21.9 percent from the field in the first half on 7-of-32 shooting. The Bearcats shot better in the second half, shooting 15-for-29 from the field.
  • Sophomore guard Lauren Wheeler led the Catamounts with 22 points on 8-for-17 shooting from the field, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Wheeler also grabbed seven rebounds.
  • Young scored 16 points to go along with a team-high eight boards.
  • Binghamton was led by junior forward Viive Rebane, who scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Senior guard Jackie Ward and junior guard Andrea Holmes each added 12 points.


*at Stony Brook 66, Maine 62 - Boxscore

  • Stony Brook led by as many as 19 points with 11:41 remaining in the second half, but Maine pulled to within three points, 63-60, with 23 seconds to play.
  • Stony Brook forced Maine into 32 turnovers, resulting in 30 points for the Seawolves.
  • The Seawolves shot 24-for-40 from the free throw line. The Black Bears shot 14-for-18 from the charity stripe.
  • Senior forward Kirsten Jeter scored a game-high 26 points, including a 10-for-12 performance from the free throw line to lead the Seawolves. She also pulled down a game-high seven rebounds and swiped seven steals.
  • Maine was led by freshman guard Ashleigh Roberts, who scored 17 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 shooting from the free throw line. Sophomore guard Amber Smith added 11 points for the Black Bears.
