KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Four America East women's soccer standouts have been named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division I All-America team, the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) announced today. Boston University's Angelina Cords and Jessica Luscinski along with University of Hartford's Caitlin Alves and Erin Quinlan each received third-team honors.

The four selections matches the league high for honorees in one season, which also happened in 1997. America East has had at least one women's soccer All-American in three straight years with the Terriers' Casey Brown and Lisa Kevorkian being recognized in 2009 and 2010, respectively. America East has had 28 total All-Americans since it started sponsoring the sport in 1991.

Cords, a senior back, earned America East Defender of the Year honors and led a Boston University team that set a program record with 19 wins, won its fifth straight league title, reached the second round of the NCAA tournament and was ranked 17th in the final national rankings. The Most Outstanding Player of the America East Championship, Cords led a back line that allowed just 13 goals in 23 games and had 14 shutouts. The team's 0.57 GAA ranked 11th nationally.

Luscinski, a senior forward, earned America East Striker of the Year honors for the second straight season. Also a first-team all-league forward for the third consecutive season, Luscinski led the conference in points (26), assists (8) and was second in goals (9). She wrapped up her career second on Boston U.'s all-time points list with 82.

Alves, a junior midfielder, earned America East Fans' Choice Players of the Year honors. Also a first-team all-conference standout, she led the league in goals (10) and game-winning scores (6). She also ranked second in overall points with 25. Alves helped lead Hartford to one of its best seasons in program history in which it compiled a 13-2-3 record and earned the No. 2 seed for America East Championship.

Quinlan, a sophomore goalkeeper, was the America East Goalkeeper of the Year and a first-team all-league selection. She led the nation in save percentage (.932), making 96 stops on the season (5.33 spg). Quinlan also ranked third in the country with a 0.38 goals-against average and had 12 shutouts on the year.

The NSCAA also announced its All-Region teams on Wednesday. Joining Cords, Luscinski, Alves and Quinlan as first-team All-Northeast choices was Boston U.'s Brittany Heist. The Terriers' Katherine Donnelly and Kylie Strom were second-team choices along with Hartford's Amelia Pereira.
