New Hampshire will try to win for the third time in four games when it travels to Providence for a matchup with the Friars Tuesday. The game, which will tip at 7 p.m., will be televised locally on Cox and is also available on ESPN3 and WatchESPN apps (subject to local blackout).
The Wildcats, who beat Marist their last time out Saturday, are one the nation's top defensive teams. UNH has held four of their last five opponents under 60 points and ranks 43rd nationally limiting foes to just 59.9 points per game. Senior Alvin Abreu leads the team in scoring and ranks sixth among league leaders averaging 14.3 points per game.
On Monday, Albany and Maine posted wins, while Binghamton fell at home to Morehead State. The Great Danes, who moved over .500 to 6-5, got 25 points from Gerardo Suero and built a 16-point halftime lead en route to the 76-64 win. The Black Bears shot 54 percent from the field and improved to 3-0 at home with a 77-60 win over Utah Valley University. Gerald McLemore scored a team-high 19 points for the Black Bears. He leads America East and is eighth nationally averaging 21.6 points per game.
