America East went 2-2 on Saturday with the home teams winning all four games on the day.
Hartford defeated Boston College 54-45 and remained unbeaten at home. The win marked America East's first win over an ACC team since Vermont knocked off both Boston College and NC State in November, 2009. Junior Daphne Elliott finished one-point shy of her career high with 20 points, while also dishing out four assists and swiping three steals.
Meanwhile in Boston, the Terriers also kept their perfect home record intact with a 49-36 victory over Marist. It was the lowest point total by a Boston U. opponent this season. Junior Mo Moran led with 16 points while senior Caroline Stewart tallied her second consecutive game with double-figure rebounds corraling 13 on Saturday.
Maine is in Amherst to meet up with UMass Sunday afternoon. Fans in the Boston and Manchester, NH area can view the game on WBIN-TV as the Black Bears try to snap a three-game skid.
Stony Brook faces Fordham in the Seawolves' third game in four days after going into overtime with Long Island just Thursday evening. SBU has held its opponents to a league-low 55.8 points per game.
