Stony Brook will try to become the second America East team in as many weeks to take down Boston College when the two teams play on Sunday at 5 p.m. in Chestnut Hill. The game will be televised in New England on NESN and on other regional sports networks throughout ACC country. It is also available on ESPN3 outside of those markets.
Boston U. downed BC, 75-61, last Sunday, the league's ninth win over BCS-conference school since 2008.
The Seawolves are looking for their second straight win after they beat Fairleigh Dickinson, 70-46, on Wednesday. Stony Brook went on a 20-4 run and held the Knights without a field goal for a 10:48 stretch en route to the win. Dave Coley scored a career-high 16 points while Bryan Dougher added 14.
Also on Sunday, New Hampshire looks for its second straight win when it visits Fairfield at 1 p.m. Vermont will try to snap a three-game losing streak, its first since November of 2009, when Quinnipiac comes to Patrick Gym for a 1 p.m. contest.
On Saturday, UMBC picked up its first win of the season and snapped a 13-game win streak that dated back to last season. The Retrievers downed crosstown-rival Towson, 62-58, behind 17 points from Ryan Cook. Boston U., Hartford and Maine dropped contests.
