After America East teams posted two more wins last night to improve to 7-5 since Saturday, Vermont and UMBC try to add to the win column Thursday.

The Catamounts host unbeaten Harvard at 7 p.m. at Patrick Gym, where they are 37-5 in their last 42 games. Vermont, which has wins over solid mid-major programs Old Dominion and Siena in their last two games, have won four of five overall. Matt Glass and Ben Crenca each scored a team-best 13 points in a 64-62 win over Siena Sunday. Brian Voelkel had seven points, 14 rebounds and eight assists.

The Retrievers go for their first win of the season when they take the short trip to Loyola and face the Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised in the Mid-Atlantic region on Comcast Sports Net Plus. Chase Plummer scored 11 points and added seven rebounds in UMBC's last game, a loss at Rutgers Monday. He's one of just three players to rank in the league's top 11 in both scoring (11th - 13.0 ppg) and rebounding (4th - 7.7 rpg).

Last night, Boston U. and New Hampshire posted wins while Maine nearly made it a 3-0 night by forcing overtime at Eastern Illinois after trailing by 10 with just 49 seconds left, but fell 85-80 in the extra frame. The Terriers, winners of three straight after a 0-4 start, beat Delaware, 73-67, behind 27 points from the league's leading scorer, Darryl Partin. UNH out-toughed Dartmouth, 53-50, and won for the sixth time in the last seven meetings with the Big Green. Alvin Abreu paced UNH with 21 points.
