Vermont (6-1) and Hartford (5-1) both continued their hot starts with in-season tournament wins on Saturday. The Catamounts are off to their best start since 2002-03, and both teams are off to remarkably different starts from which they had last season, starting 2010-11 with records of 0-7 and 1-5, respectively.
Boston U. won its first back-to-back games of the season, and remained undefeated at home with a 3-0 mark, with a 71-44 drubbing of Rhode Island. Four different Terriers reached double-figure point totals, including Chantell Alford who also swiped a career-high-tying seven steals.
After losing each of the last three games all on the road, Albany is back at home on Sunday and is looking to snap the skid. Juniors Ebone Henry and Julie Forster together average 29.0 ppg for the Great Danes.
UMBC travels cross-town to face Towson. The Retrievers lead the league with .798 free-throw shooting as well as .412 field-goal shooting, and have four players averaging double-digit points.
New Hampshire returns to the court, playing just its fourth game of the season, facing off at Central Connecticut.
