Terriers Will Play For Winning Streak On NESN

All three teams participating in holiday tournaments won games on Friday. Maine, which is hosting the 19th annual Dead River Company Classic, will play in the championship game Saturday afternoon against Brown. The Black Bears have won the tournament three times, most recently in 2006-07.

Vermont will also be playing for the championship at the Husky Classic. UVM and its Saturday opponent, Texas Southern, each won games on Friday at Houston Baptist's tournament. Freshman Niki Taylor had her first collegiate double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Hartford upended TCU at Central Florida behind junior Daphne Elliott's 21 points which tied a career high. The Hawks play the tournament's hosts on Saturday.

Boston U. is looking for its first winning streak of the season, hosting Rhode Island Saturday afternoon, a game being televised live on NESN.

Binghamton welcomes Syracuse to the Events Center, hoping to hand the Big Orange their first loss of the season.
