Pair of TV Games on Thursday's Men's Basketball Slate

Two America East men's basktball teams take the floor on Thursday and both will be on television.

Maine will visit #4 UConn in a game that will be televised on SNY and ESPN3. The Black Bears beat  Maine-Machias, 113-49, in their opener on Monday. UMBC will look for its first win of the season when it hosts Loyola on 7 on MASN. The Retrievers' Chase Plummer is averaging 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds through two games thus far.

 

Vermont and Hartford were both in action last night with the Catamounts earning their first win of the season and the first for John Becker as a Division I head coach. Brendan Bald scored 19 of his career-best 21 points after halftime as UVM opened the second half on a 19-10 run. The Hawks fell to Mount St. Mary's in their home opener, 63-50.
