Monday, January 3
*UMBC 65, at Stony Brook 52 -- Boxscore
- UMBC junior guard Michelle Kurowski scored 19 points in a win over Stony Brook, giving her 1,000 points for her career. Kurowski also ripped down a team-high eight rebounds.
- UMBC (7-7, 1-0 in America East) shot at a .478 clip from the field while holding Stony Brook (3-10, 0-1 AE) to .302 field goal shooting.
- Junior guard Erin Brown scored 19 points and went 3-for-5 from downtown for the Retrievers. Senior guard Meghan Colabella added 15 points.
- Senior forward Kirsten Jeter led the Seawolves with a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds. Sophomore center Taylor Burner added 10 points.
at Binghamton 65, Cornell 55 -- Boxscore
- Binghamton (7-6) dominated the glass on both ends, outrebounding Cornell, 47-32, and grabbing 21 offensive rebounds which led to 13 second-chance points.
- Four Bearcats cracked double figures in scoring, led by junior guard Andrea Holmes with 19 points. Junior forward Viive Rebane dropped 12 points, freshman guard Jasbriell Swain scored 11 points and senior guard Jackie Ward added 10 points.
- Swain also grabbed 10 rebounds as she earned her fourth double-double of the season. Junior forward Kara Elofson fell just short of a double-double with nine points and a team-high 12 rebounds.

Sunday, January 2
*at Boston U. 78, Maine 40 - Boxscore
- Boston U. held Maine to .267 shooting from the field on the afternoon. Offensively, the Terriers shot at a .484 clip.
- The
Terrier defense forced 26 turnovers and scored 38 points off those
miscues. Boston U. also outscored Maine in the paint, 32-6.
- Four
Terriers cracked double digits in scoring, paced by sophomore guard
Chantell Alford with 22 points. Junior Alex Young and senior Kerry
Cashman each added 12 points each while sophomore Mo Moran scored 10
points and dished out five assists.
- Freshman guard Ashleigh Roberts went 8-for-9 from the free throw line and scored 12 points to lead the Black Bears.
*Hartford 62, at Vermont 49 - Boxscore
- Hartford
shot .500 from the field (23-of-46) and .455 from behind the arc
(5-of-11) to defeat Vermont in a rematch of last year's America East
title game.
- The Hawks forced the Catamounts into 21 turnovers, stealing the ball 12 times. Hartford turned the ball over 14 times.
- Sophomore
guard Alex Hall led the Hawks with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from
the field. Junior Ilicia Mathis and sophomore Daphne Elliott each added
14 points.
- Vermont
was led by senior forward Tonya Young, who scored a team-high 18 points
and grabbed four rebounds. Freshman guard Jasmine Cooper added 15
points for the Catamounts.
Fordham 48, at Albany 43 - Boxscore
- Albany had two chances to tie the game at 46 in the closing seconds, but missed a pair of three-point attempts.
- The Great Danes shot just .293 percent from the field and turned the ball over 21 times.
- Sophomore
guard Ebone Henry scored a team-high 11 points and also grabbed seven
rebounds. Junior guard Felicia Johnson added 10 points for the Great
Danes.
- Sophomore forward Julie Forster ripped down a game-high 15 rebounds. She also scored eight points.
Saturday, January 1
at New Hampshire 88, Rhode Island 74 (3OT) - Boxscore
- New
Hampshire outscored the visiting Rams, 18-4, in the third overtime
period to close out its non-conference schedule on a high note.
- Junior
forward Denise Beliveau scored a team-high 25 points and grabbed 10
rebounds in the win. Senior center Jill McDonald added 22 points, a
team-high 12 boards and five blocks.
- The
Wildcats drained a season-high 13 three-pointers, shooting .464
(13-from-28) for the game. Sophomore Cari Reed, who was the third
Wildcat to finish with 20+ points (21 points), went 5-for-10 from
long-distance.
