  • UMBC (3-17, 2-5 AE) hosts Albany (10-12, 3-4 AE) at RAC Arena where the Great Danes beat the Retrievers last season, 75-62.
  • Albany held Binghamton to 21.1 percent shooting en route to its second straight league win.
  • The 39-point margin of victory was the Great Danes' largest since moving to the Division I level prior to the 1999-2000 campaign.
  • The Great Danes, who shoot a league-best 37.7 percent from 3-point range, had four players in twin figures and were led by Mike Black's 15 points.
  • Albany leads America East by allowing just 55.6 points per game in league contests. The Great Danes have surrendered just 56.0 ppg in their 10 wins this season.
  • UMBC allowed UNH to shoot 51 percent from the field and score a season-best 80 points in a loss Sunday.
  • The defeat was the Retrievers' first in three games after they posted back-to-back wins for the first time since the 2008-09 season with victories over Boston U. Monday and Hartford Thursday.
  • Junior Chris De La Rosa averaged 17 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.7 assists last week to earn America East Player of the Week honors. He ranks second among league leaders with 17.0 points per game and is 13th nationally with 6.3 assists per game.

  • Boston U. (9-12, 4-3 AE) hosts Binghamton (6-14, 3-4 AE) Wednesday at Agganis Arena where it dealt the Bearcats a 93-51 loss last year.
  • Binghamton was outscored by Vermont,39-25, in the second half and dropped its fourth straight game Sunday.
  • After running off three straight wins to open conference play, the Bearcats have dropped four straight
  • and averaged just 50.3 points in those contests.
  • Senior Mahamoud Jabbi contributed his third double-double in his last fi ve games, scoring 13 points
  • and grabbing 10 rebounds. He's averaging 11.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in league play.
  • Junior Kyrie Sutton is averaging 12.3 points and 7.8 rebounds over his last four games.
  • Boston U. built a 16-point lead at Hartford Saturday but went the fi nal 11:11 without a field goal and fell for the second time in three games.
  • Senior John Holland, who leads America East and ranks 39th nationally averaging 19.2 points per game, scored 12 points and passed former Terrier Drederick Irving for 13th on the league's all-time scoring list. He has 1,936 career points.
  • The Terriers are 6-2 at home this season, but just 1-9 in road games.

At Maine 64, New Hampshire 50- Box Score

  • Senior forward Troy Barnies scored a game-high 20 points and pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds to lead Maine (13-7, 7-1 America East) to a 64-50 home win over New Hampshire (8-12, 2-6 America East).
  • The Black Bears controlled the paint in the win, outrebounding the Wildcats, 45-31.
  • Maine junior guard Gerald McLemore added 13 points, including 3-of-5 shooting from behind the arc, and four rebounds in the win.
  • The Wildcats were led by senior center Dane DiLiegro, who scored six points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

At Vermont 72, Hartford 51- Box Score

  • Vermont (15-5, 6-2 America East) received a strong performance from senior forward Evan Fjeld, who scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds, to secure the comfortable 72-51 win over Hartford (7-13, 4-3 America East).
  • Sophomore guard Brendan Bald scored 14 points, while senior guard Joey Accaoui added 10 points in the win.
  • Freshman forward Brian Voelkel scored six points, grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds and dished out a team-high four assists for the Catamounts.
  • Senior guard/forward Milton Burton led the way for the Hawks, scoring a game-high 17 points and picking up a game-high five steals.
  • Hartford senior center Morgan Sabia added 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
